Poetry | The Power of the Sun

The Power of the Sun

Beneath the vast and endless sky,
The sun ascends, a watchful eye.
A golden orb, ablaze with might,
It paints the dawn, it conquers night.

Its rays, like fingers, softly glide,
Across the earth, both far and wide.
They kiss the fields, the mountains high,
And wake the world with light's sweet sigh.

The power it holds, both fierce and kind,
A force of life, in it we find
The warmth that stirs the seeds to grow,
The fire that melts the winter's snow.

It fuels the winds, it drives the seas,
It dances with the ancient trees.
In every leaf, in every stream,
It weaves the fabric of a dream.

Yet in its wrath, it can consume,
A blazing forge, a fiery tomb.
It scars the land, it burns the air,
A reminder of its strength laid bare.

But still, we bow to its embrace,
Its light a gift, its heat a grace.
For in its glow, we all are one,
Bound together by the power of the sun.

So let us honor its eternal flame,
A beacon vast, without a name.
The heart of life, the cosmic spark,
The sun that guides us through the dark.
